The story covers courageous characters, treacherous journeys, and epic battles.  

The fantasy series The Legends of Karik is packed with fighting action, fighting dragons and forming friendships. Even though the story genre is an epic fantasy adventure, it seems to draw on the history of Vikings. Evan Oliver draws the reader in to obtain an image and visualisation of what the Vikings might have been like in the form of fantasy. As I like reading about the Vikings I am drawn to the fantasy adventures of the Legends of Karik and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

An interesting, intriguing and unique unusual storyline for a rancher. It is a great story that is difficult to put down and on the edge of the seat romantic setting. For this reader I was intrigued by the title as to me it romanticises and doesn’t meet the criteria of what a one night stand is. Yes I do agree, that it seems that the circumstances around the plot is that it’s possible to actually find love with the person who you have a one night stand with in a small country town. Not only is the one night stand of a couple which the rancher is the small town man who ends up falling for the out of Towner but it’s the young woman who ends up being his campaign manager. The book gives readers an insight of what actually happens behind the campaign scene. I love the fact that both plots merge together and gives a happy ending to which I am intrigued and interested to see if another book will outline on how they end up…..

The amount Violence contained within the book could be a trigger for some readers. Storyline is regarding a 17 year old girl Desiree an untrained witch, impelled to transport herself to Miami is where her friends are but instead fell backwards through time  to 1898 Cuba. During this time Desi learns to become a warrior, cast spells and falls in love. It’s a unique story full of mystery, war, friendships, twists and turns that might leave you spinning wondering what is going on. I look forward to reading more on the series.

The 5th book in the Warrior Hearts series: Steel is a male-female-male relationship story which slowly merges the threesome together as each relationship builds separately. Steel can be read as a stand alone book or in the book order of the Warrior Hearts series to which I highly recommend to read after reading the first four books in order as it is more understandable of other characters and who they are connected with each other and other characters who help them in their adventures.

Storyline could be a little slow paced at times but seems required to give readers an understanding of what is going on. Well written conversations, processing of thoughts and feelings and scenery for readers who are able to visualise what is happening and where they are going.

 Trevan king of the light fae is being challenged by fate who has chosen his destiny with Amber who is the princess of his arch enemy the dark fae. As fate and the chosen mates becoming closer another enemy emerges to run amok. The story is very interesting, full of mystery, funny moments and aha moments. I was intrigued from the start when reading the changes within the dark fae kingdom. A page turner, edge of the seat story with strong characters who embark to outwit others to become the light Queen. As the story goes along Amber changes and becomes a mystery that I didn’t solve until near the end after the beginning of the war. I am so intrigued by the story and characters I am wanting to see and learn on what happens next. Recommended for readers who love to read sci fi and fantasy. Recommended to fans of L. E. Horn, T. N. Traynor, Meg Ripley, Everly Frost and Linsey Hall and many more.

Death in Florence book 2 of the series A Year in Europe by Blake Pierce

Death follows Diana wherever she goes, leaving Paris on a train heading for Florence. Always a planner a person who needs to itinerary every single detail and timeline what she wants to see, Diana is struggling to ditch this part of her until she sees the most unexpected person she never expected to see during her travels.

Wanting to take a photo of her meal and drink Diana noticed that her phone was gone. Three possibilities for where the phone could be one in the taxi, front desk or the couple that accidentally or purposefully bumped into her. With the phone gone, the only one available for Diana is an old flip phone to which she was completely happy to have until brand new one became available. At the last minute Diana decided to visit the Shakespeare festival and invited her unexpected daughter’s to meet her there. Attending the Shakespearean play Diana once again landed into trouble with a murder occurring right under her nose. Diana goes into detective mode and helps solve the murder.

Recommended for readers who like to read murder mystery fictional stories.

Another great FBI BAU series about Paige King before she begins her career as an FBI BAU special agent. A page turner, edge of the seat book and unable to put down until the finish. Certainly not for the quick speed readers or those that are squeamish. Fresh as a daisy, Paige is not exactly new to serial killers with the ability to understand and get into the minds of the serial killers. The twists and turns and dead ends to some ideas of what is happening next is crucial to Paige’s new emerging skills. I’m looking forward to reading and learning more about Paige King.

From the start I was intrigued by the storyline and plot but I felt it was a little slow to start.  I enjoyed reading the book, while learning about Chrys and who she is and her parentage along with her two friends. The more I read the story I was walking beside the trio and her parents  listening to them. I felt that I was alongside them during their travels and pulled into their world. It was in the last few chapters that the story became alive drawing me in once again while being awed by the unknown emerging powers. I am now waiting with baited breath for the next instalment to read what the characters are up to.
