Death by Misadventure

5 Stars

Title is true to word, it’s death by misadventure, a spine chilling adventurous murdering not exactly thrilling but close enough. A private eye would have a field day yet definitely a roller coaster ride of the year a reader who enjoys a good thriller would be in their element. It’s full of gunfire , espionage and gun toting bullies and police jargon and I’m a little confused and concerned on why there’s no red herring leads with the detectives going around on wild goose chases and rabbit holes. That being the disappointing part yet a page turner and edgy seat reading and extremely hard to put down Those who don’t enjoy being around a narcissistic psychopath might have issues as I did so you might need to keep telling yourself it’s just a story. Not sure the process of getting the psycho for a murder but I guess that this story will be on track. Definitely a recommendation for those who love reading detective fiction and thriller…

It’s Bullsh*t to Bully

I give this book double thumbs up and five giant stars

I’m impressed, motivated, inspired and yet stuck in a rut. Reading the story of Ted Bear took me back to my childhood days when my bullies were my own family members. I ended up believing their insults, their strong negative emotions, thoughts and feelings while others in the family just looked on and did nothing. I enjoyed yet endured but encouraged myself to keep reading as I wanted to know what Ted did to become the bear he is. Even though it’s written very well, not exactly simple yet to the point. When I’ve completed my locked and buried memories with EMDR therapy I will certainly give the nasty aholds a good flush and out of my heart, mind and life. The book has great illustrations and information on how to get bullies out of your life. Those who have suffered from the abuse from bullies might be triggered like I was when reading the book, please seek help but at the same time that it’s not your story yet with strength and determination we can be like Ted and climb the daunting challenge of a mountain in my opinion a volcanic mountain. Thanks Ian Luff for your book which contains help, encouragement, advice and support all of us readers who have suffered from traumatic childhood even adulthood bullies in all forms.

Personally this is a genre and story that I love and enjoy reading but unfortunately I was unable to capture the essence of the story. I understood the concept of the story yet found it difficult to grasp and failed to hold onto my attention. Even though I wasn’t able to fully understand or comprehend the story I still wrote this review to inform the author and publisher that it maybe a great story but not all readers might not be able to have a grasp of the story or being able to their attention held to finish reading the book. One day I will read the book again and update my review.

Breaking Trauma Bonds with Narcissists and Psychopaths

Stop the Cycle of Manipulation, Exploitation, and Abuse in Your Romantic Relationships

by Shahida Arabi is a great resource to keep as an ebook, on the bookshelf or even given as a gift. It is good for help with a romantic relationship, friendships or family. This is the book that I needed to help me with the relationships with my siblings but I was unable to complete reading through the book as I began to be triggered. I plan to read again once I’ve finished therapy and have the correct skills to complete.

This book is a fantastic resource for self Help, self care and healing from trauma. The workbook is self healing and helping therapy which guides you through your journey. Personally for me I found it very hard to focus and follow through the workbook as it is not exactly written for those with Childhood Complex Trauma-PTSD. I have attempted to read but found that it gave me an overwhelming feeling that I first needed to get appropriate support of therapy before embarking on following this journey in the workbook. I highly recommend that if reading this book gives you triggers as it did for me please seek professional guidance and theory then return to this workbook.
