A Death in Florence

Death in Florence book 2 of the series A Year in Europe by Blake Pierce

Five Stars

Florence

Death follows Diana wherever she goes, leaving Paris on a train heading for Florence. Always a planner a person who needs to itinerary every single detail and timeline what she wants to see, Diana is struggling to ditch this part of her until she sees the most unexpected person she never expected to see during her travels.

Wanting to take a photo of her meal and drink Diana noticed that her phone was gone. Three possibilities for where the phone could be one in the taxi, front desk or the couple that accidentally or purposefully bumped into her. With the phone gone, the only one available for Diana is an old flip phone to which she was completely happy to have until brand new one became available. At the last minute Diana decided to visit the Shakespeare festival and invited her unexpected daughter’s to meet her there. Attending the Shakespearean play Diana once again landed into trouble with a murder occurring right under her nose. Diana goes into detective mode and helps solve the murder.

Recommended for readers who like to read murder mystery fictional stories.

The review of this free copy of Death in Florence is my own personal thoughts and reflections.

This is a great book for parents to complete activities with their children to help them gain skills with grounding, calming down their emotions, ways to cope and gain a better control on their anger and emotions. The activities are set out in an easy to navigate and understand on how to complete with children. This book is certainly one that I will use for my autistic boys.

5 stars… A great informative text to help readers to understand on how their body react to stress and gives instructive ways to distress and keeping emotions stable. It’s a book that I will keep handy as a toolkit to help myself and learn to keep my mind and body from extreme emotions and stress when facing situations that will activate my stress tachycardia and stress anxiety. I can also utilise what I’ve learnt to help my family in dealing with emotional situations that set off tantrums and meltdowns. “I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.  5 stars…. As an adult with ADHD, and children with different degrees of ADHD and ASD. I love the book cover and very well titled. The author has a full understanding of ADHD and has an ability to write it simply for someone who has ADHD and thorough exact information can be overwhelming. I highly recommend that anyone should read the book to understand what ADHD is and how to help others with it. I certainly will keep this book handy for when I need to keep myself in the knowledge to understand and be able to help improve myself and my boys. “I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. 4 stars… I’ve scrolled through the book, love the cover and title. The author is very thorough in writing on how he came about on writing the book and his ideas about EQ.. Great book for teachers, youth ministry and people who care for children in their career. I’d use the book for youth ministry to understand on the youth, families and patents are like to help them with any parental training. It would be valuable information for people to use as a workbook set with instructions to fully understand and comprehend on how to put the EQ interventions into practice. “I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Last Night in London

The Last Night in London written by Karen White enlightens historical fiction readers to understand what two young fashion models went through before and during WW2. The historical fiction is similar to a bibliography due to telling the memories of late 1930’s to mid 1940’s fashion model of what she went through during this period of time. This story tells of Precious’s actions during this time, those consequences impacted her family in current times. The main characters we’re friends during their college years, only to be reunited due to finding an ancestry linkage also writing a magazine article to reminisce Precious’s memories with clothing and accessories from her modelling career from pre-war and during war. These memories were freeing Precious slowly leading towards redemption from her actions. The storyline can be a little slow but it is written in a way that brings in the reader to see two characters being aware of feelings for each other they were afraid to action. During Precious’s memory flashbacks there is snippets of hints that she is not exactly who she is. Could have been a sad ending but it is a happy ending for a newly formed couple.

Introducing BlueFalkon95

This is my first blog and will publish today. Why am I doing this is for readers to read on what they can expect the story, bibliography or text is about. Why should I read your blog; you might be asking yourself. It’s to inform readers on the thoughts of a person while they read the book. If I am not being annoyed by my children after reading the book and write the review I post straight away if not it’s when I can check what I’ve stated and make changes before posting. Sometimes I state exactly on my thoughts such as I sped read through certain sections, or I found it very scary to read. What I thought about the characters and at times I’ve actually made suggestions.

I am blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal is so other readers, publishers and authors know on what an ordinary reader thinks about their writing.

The genres of books that I will write about are very vast and read almost all of them.

I’d love to hear from anyone, if it’s a comment or your own thoughts on the book that I’ve reviewed please do so.
