Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing begins for Hannah is an extremely busy young lady who has lived in Evergreen all her life. A Christmas story I found it hard to get into for the first few chapters it seemed to be slow to start. A slow story about the relationship between Hannah and Elliot and other families. I was not really moved emotionally as I normally do with Christmas romance stories.

A lot of things happening in Flora’s life and nothing seems to be good. A little slow to start but it creeps up slowly. Not really the typical Christmas time seeking love story of where boy meets girl and they fall in love. It’s more like a girl travels overseas to sell Christmas products, finds herself in minute amount of trouble due to a trouble maker – green eyed monster – who likes to get what she wants girl. Flora makes some friends who help her with the local grinch called Connor who for some reason hates Christmas. Flora and her new friends do their best to change the grinch, so does Flora manage to Tame the Grinch.  It’s like reading a festive story about Scrooge and the Grinch without the ghosts.

A mid to fast pace Australian story, Wild Place is very intriguing, gripping on the edge of the seat book which keeps you guessing on who dun it. Full of mystery and secrets, lies and their actions suffer many different unexpected consequences. Full of devious, charismatic yet intriguing characters to which their actions and emotions is difficult for a reader to make an early connection to who killed the missing girl. Certainly a recommended book for those who love to read mysteries and thrillers.

I really love a heartwarming, heartfelt and heartbreaking Christmas romance story, as it brings the warm fuzzies and the waterworks [tears to the eyes] when you need a good cry. The story has emotional aspects of loss of a loved one, a wedding and a struggle of falling in love even if it’s unexpected or not wanted at the time. The funny things that occur in the storyline is when a group of old interfering old biddies [ladies] do some of their Christmas magic by setting up some events and situations to bring a young mother, her son and a firefighter together. Both Morgan and Andrew aren’t looking for love as their future is unknown. Ideal book for those who love reading Christmas romance stories especially emotional. #WrappedUpinChristmasHope #NetGalley

The little Christmas House in the outskirts of a gorgeous village called Hopley. Another heartwarming yet heartbreaking and heartfelt Christmas story set in an English village regarding a couple who are falling in love not long after Holly’s own relationship fell apart 6 months before. A book that will pull at the heart strings, great to read with a warm beverage on a rainy day hopefully you won’t have any emotional memories triggered. The story is well written, detailing on how some single people find love when it’s unexpected or even unwanted at the time. The description of hot chocolate, finding a Christmas tree to chop down and decorate, nativity show, singing carols and  festive spirit all makes the Australian woman want to dream of a white Christmas.

Heartwarming Christmas story of friendship, heartbreak and of course love. The Christmas Gift  is about finding friendships after a difficult breakup and love emerging slowly as the two neighbours are still grieving. To help Bella to grieve and to improve her emotional well-being she begins to think about ways to help the community members who are struggling financially during the Christmas holidays. As Bella and her neighbour Nick and his son grow closer somehow events soon turn around their happiness. At times the story does bring tears to the eyes and has some amusing times. Certainly a book for readers who love to read Christmas romance and please be aware that the book explores the emotions of grief from the loss of a relationship; on the in case it causes triggers of emotional memories please seek help or someone to talk to.

Giving Back is indeed an interesting yet inspiring book which contains around 50 stories written majorly for the older generation of those above the age of 50 who are young at heart. The stories can be heartwarming, heartbreaking, brings the waterworks out due to how the stories of memories, reflection and how some lessons were learned and how Edward become the man he is today. Well written stories.

Such a cute romantic story called Mistletoe Mix-Up Christmas Extravaganza  by Jody Day. A laugh out loud ditzy story about mis-reading an address, wrong people, similar street and town. A fated mix up situation which meant that Evan got to meet Rise and her father and helping out an older couple and the community. It’s so heartwarming as Evan helped out the community and when he realised a mistake the community came along and helped right back.

A short and sweet yet disappointing Christmas – Advent morning and evening women’s daily devotional. This devotional is written by women for women from Our Daily Bread, to regenerate the heart, soul, mind throughout the month of December. The introduction is from a mother who was struggling financially and wanted to purchase something to give her children on Christmas Day. The ebook is linked to the appropriate page of the reading of the morning or evening. Each morning and evening gives the readers the scripture reading with a written reflection of the scriptures. I am disappointed as there’s no indication of meditation focused for reflection, no prayers or similar verses to look up to or even any reflection questions that we can reflect and ponder by ourselves or as a group or even mother-daughter.

Learn some very important winning steps for sustaining success in work, business, life or even love in the book The Secret Formula of Strategic Thinkers by Cory Smith. A long and detailed introduction of how the book came about. Fully detailed chapters going over strategies, knowing yourself with self knowledge, your strengths, power of visualisation, observation and reflection regarding self reflection, critical thinking, think like a monk or grandmaster, building momentum and lastly putting it all together. Certainly a book for self help if you are ready to take the steps in altering your thoughts and being able to react to situations that you come across. The book can go into depth and details within the chapters, can read like it is an academic or medical report. Might not be suitable for anyone who do not fully understand or comprehend academic style writing as I found it difficult to understand myself as I find academic writing hard to follow. Would be ideal as an audiobook.
