Liberty Farm A Family Portrait is certainly an interesting read, at times I wanted to put the book away and other times I kept reading as I wanted to know what happens to the family. I liked that Brazil’s historical facts in the form of sports and political and interesting as they formed chronological order within the families history. I was able to empathise and imagine on what each member of the family felt and was going through as my childhood and young adulthood was very similar. In some points I almost went into childhood complex trauma emotions but I told myself it’s not my story and was able to read on. An ideal book for those wanting to understand what some families went through but certainly not a book for someone who shared a similar life with this family. I felt that there’s a slight cliffhanger as I wanted to know what happened to the family.
